Fernie, BC - Field Sessions

AST 1 – 8 hour Hands-on Field Training

Meeting Time
8:00am unload, sign out gear, purchase trail passes
8:30 am – Class start. Please be geared up and ready to ride for this time.
Return Time ~ 5:30 pm MST

Choose ONE field day for the practical exercises.

If your schedule allows, we recommend that you choose a Monday or a Friday for your field sessions as Saturdays and Sundays are typically our larger groups.
All field classes will run with a maximum of 8 students per instructor.

Meeting Location – Morrisey Road

How handy! The BC gov’t has a 24 hour weather camera mounted at the Morrisey Road turn off from Highway 3.

Drive approx 10 kms south of Fernie on Highway 3. Turn left on Morrissey Road and follow the signs to Fernie Wilderness Adventures.
An obvious landmark on the left side of Hwy 3 is the line of trees with ‘orange’ branches that line a driveway near the Morrisey Road intersection. As well there are street lights at this intersection.
